Sales of Innovative 3D Surface Measurement Devices from the smartVIS3D Series

GBS mbH launched a project on April 1, 2017, to expand the national and international partner and direct sales.

GBS mbH has many years of experience in the field of 3D surface acquisition and processing. A key focus of the work is the development of white light interferometry from a laboratory device to a production-ready measuring system. To meet the cycle times required by industry, GBS has early on relied on parallel processing of measurement data using Graphics Processor Units (GPUs). Currently, the use of FPGAs for sensor-near processing of WLI data is being investigated. The measuring systems of the smartVIS3D family have already been modified and adapted for various tasks and thus have sufficient expertise to tackle the special challenges of the industry.

The main products of GBS include:

• smartVIS – Customer-specific solutions in the field of quality assurance
• smartVIS3D – Products for 3D surface measurement (smartWLI-prime, smartWLI-extended, smartWLI-portable, smartWLI-microscope)

The responsibilities of the innovative staff / sales manager include, among other things, the development of product-related sales and marketing concepts, the design of technology-oriented marketing tools, the preparation and execution of trade fairs, price calculations for sales partners, advertising, communication, public relations, and sales.
