GBS Expands Production Capacity with Support from the \u201cTh\u00fcringen Invest\u201d Program of Th\u00fcringer Aufbaubank<\/strong><\/h3>\n

GBS mbH<\/strong>, a manufacturer of 3D surface measuring instruments for micro and nano roughness measurement, is expanding its production capacity with the support of the Th\u00fcringen Invest<\/strong> funding program provided by the Th\u00fcringer Aufbaubank<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As of February 1, 2019<\/strong>, GBS will rent additional production space in a neighboring building (Steinbeis, Werner-von-Siemens-Stra\u00dfe 12). Starting in spring 2019, a production manager<\/strong> will be hired to establish serial production<\/strong> at this location. At the same time, a room in the main building will be converted into a metrology laboratory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Th\u00fcringen Invest funds are being used to support the establishment of both the serial production line and the new metrology lab. This includes investments in production workstations<\/strong>, manufacturing equipment<\/strong>, final inspection stations<\/strong>, packaging areas<\/strong>, measurement stations<\/strong>, and data processing systems<\/strong> for production control.<\/p>\n

These investments are accompanied by the creation of new jobs and help to strengthen the Thuringia location<\/strong> as a hub for 3D surface metrology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
