GBS to Attend the GPS News Conference at Stadthalle Chemnitz on November 12–13, 2019

The event in Chemnitz, held once a year under the direction of Dr. Rolf Klöden, offers first-hand information on the latest developments in geometrical product specification (GPS) standards – directly from the German delegates involved in ISO standardization.

ISO GPS (Geometrical Product Specification) defines rules for design, manufacturing, and metrology that ensure unambiguous, drawing-based specification and verification of mechanical systems and components – minimizing room for interpretation across all areas of industry. These standards not only enable global technical communication but also form a crucial foundation for ambitious initiatives such as Industry 4.0.

Each year, the German members of the ISO GPS standards committee host the GPS News Meeting to inform industry stakeholders about the latest progress in standardization and to discuss future directions and necessary actions.
