Surface Measurement Technology 4.0

Surface measurement technology faces new challenges: its shift to or integration within production lines increasingly requires optical measurement technology combined with automation. The Quality Engineering Innovation Forum in Stuttgart this October focused on these and other current issues related to the topic.

GBS demonstrated its capabilities with a presentation by Mr. Liedmann (Sales Manager at GBS) on the topic of “Implementation of Inline Roughness Measurements through Performance Enhancement of White Light Interferometry.” The talk showcased how smartWLI technology can be integrated directly into manufacturing processes. This presentation was complemented by an exhibition of the smartWLI compact, a sensor designed specifically for inline roughness measurement.
